Barbara Rollins Fornengo

Barbara Rollins Fornengo, 84, of McCook, Neb. passed away June 10, 2016 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, Neb. where she had been a resident for the past two years. 

She was born on Nov. 1, 1931 in Lyman, the daughter of the late James "Eugene" and Mary Webb Rollins.

Fornengo attended schools in Reliance and was a Reliance High School graduate. 

She married James Jon Fornengo in Reno, Nev. on Nov. 14, 1948 and he preceded her in death in St. George, Utah on August 22, 1994.

Fornengo was employed at Union Mercantile and later as a lunch lady for Sweetwater County School District No. 1.

Survivors include two sons Jamie Fornengo and wife JoAnn of Reliance and Micheal Fornengo and wife Julie of Green River; daughter Kathy Dernovich and husband Don of Culbertson, Neb.; five sisters Sherry Pullan of Dallas, Texas, Carol Brewer and husband Bob of Nampa, Idaho, Sue Cardwell and husband Robert of St. George, Utah and Patricia Swain, St. George, Utah; eight grandchildren, Jamie Fornengo, Tresa Fornengo, Levi Fornengo, Cody Micheal Fornengo, Heath Dernovich, Jessica Roth, Kaitlyn Dernovich; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jimmy Fornengo; sister Marilyn Lucas; brother Darrel "Candy Bar" Rollins; great-granddaughters Olivia and Nora Roth and one great-grandson Gianni Micheal Fornengo.

Following cremation, there will be no services at her request.
