Roy Alan Brockbank passed away in St. George, Utah May 21, 2016.
He was born Dec. 19, 1944 to Byron Andrus Brockbank and Luella Mae Nettles Brockbank in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and was the youngest of three children.
He grew up in Orlando, Fla., and graduated from Oakridge High School in 1963, moving west for education and employment. He graduated from BYU in Provo, Utah in 1968 and later graduated from Utah Technical College in 1976. He married Sandra McCurdy in 1965 and the couple later divorced in 1970. He later married Deborah Y. Thayne April 8, 1977 in Evanston. He worked as a plant electrician at FMC.
He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Brockbank also loved spending time in outdoor activities, such as hiking the Rocky Mountains, and traveling. Riding motorcycles was his summer passion.
He is survived by three children; Cristalle Joy Carey and husband Aaron of St. George, Utah, Brandon Joel Brockbank and wife Timaree of Salt Lake City, and daughter Candace Caryn Toman of St. George, Utah; six grandchildren, Celina Yvonne Brockbank, Aaron Carey Jr, Felicity Anne Brockbank, Ashlynn Olivia Brockbank, Brooklyn Skjai Toman, and Boston Paige Toman.
No memorial services planned as per Brockbank's request. Interment will be in the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery in Holladay, Utah.
