William Wilson McDaniel, “Bill”, was born in Jackson, Feb. 16, 1945 to Sam and May McDaniel.
He died at the age of 71, May 22, 2016 of congestive heart failure.
His love of cars and motorcycles lasted a lifetime. He loved to travel and do road trips. After a tumultuous life as a young adult, Bill got clean and sober in 1975 with the help of A.A. In later life he became a bus driver and enjoyed charter trips all over the U.S. He made thousands of trips to and from the trona mines.
He married Virginia LaRocque and had a daughter, Tana. His wife preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter Tana Ragsdale (Will) of Cadillac, Mich.; his stepdaughter Michelle of Rock Springs and her children Susan, Shalynn, and Sierra; his sister Paula (Donna), of Casper, and many cousins. He had good friends, including Lupe Robles and Alice Lampher of Green River. His ashes will be interred at a later date in the Wilson Family Cemetery in Teton County.
