Wanda Dixon Mecca Buckley, 80, of Mandeville, La. passed away Oct. 30, 2015. She had been a longtime resident of Mandeville, La. and former longtime resident of Wyoming, Texas, and England.
She was born on May 16, 1935 in Arkansas, the daughter of the late Lester and Georgia Dixon.
Buckley was a self-employed real estate investor and worked for 25 years, retiring in 1995.
Her interests included overseas travel to Europe and the Middle East. Buckley also liked vacationing on the gulf coast of Florida and Mississippi. She also enjoyed antiques. She was generous to many children's charities.
Survivors include one son, James D. Mecca of Covington, La .; two daughters, Pamela Mecca Buckley Farmer and husband Marion B. of Covington, La., and Kristi Buckley Trentecosta and husband Chris of New Orleans; three grandchildrenm Heather, Rocco and Liam; two great-grandchildren Paxton and Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Dale Dixon and one sister Mary Dixon. Private family services will take place.
