William Todd Malonek, 56, of Green River, passed away April 8, 2016 at his home.
He was born on Dec. 15, 1960 in Phoenix, the son of Robert Nells and Jacqueline Abbott Malonek. Malonek attended schools in Seal Beach, Calif., and was a 1978 graduate of the Los Amitos High School.
He was the manager of the Malonek Apartments for 11 years and was a soccer coach for Green River High School. His interests were volunteering to coach soccer and was an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his mother Jacqueline A. Malonek of Green River; half-brother Gregg Hurd of San Antonio, Texas; sister Jenny Sue Malonek of Al Hambra, Calif.; one uncle Jay Abbott and wife Margaret of Green Valley, Ariz.; several cousins, one nephew and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Following cremation, a memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Lincoln Middle School Auditorium. Reverend Jennie Boteler will conduct the services.
