Albert "Z" Loisate

Albert "Z" Loisate, 81, of Rock Springs, passed away March 21, 2016 at his home.  He was a lifelong resident of Rock Springs.

He was born Nov. 6, 1934 in Rock Springs, the son of the late Angelo and Mary Mendiola Loisate.

Loisate attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1952 graduate of the Rock Springs High School.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He served from March of 1957 until March of 1961 and received an honorable discharge.

Loisate was employed at Questar Gas as a surveyor and retired after 15 years Nov. 6, 1996.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community and Fraternal Order of the Eagles #151 and American Legion Archie Hay Post #24.

He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.

Survivors include one son, Patrick A. Loisate of Rock Springs; one daughter, Juanita Gunyan and husband Ron Gunyan III of Rock Springs, step-daughter Toni Frizzel of Rock Springs; two brothers, John Loisate of Blackfoot, Idaho and Bill Loisate of Rock Springs; three sisters, Louise Mahoney of Hayward, Calif., Angela McMurray of Eden Valley and Anita Glenn of San Jose, Calif .; three grandchildren Randi Burns and husband Mike, Jerry Evans and wife Jessica, and Terry Renney and wife Andrea; two great-grandchildren, Micheal Marie Burns, Frankie Mae Burns and Samuel Burns; four step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jerry Val Loisate; four sisters, Pilar Loisate, Helen Platzer, Gloria Kincaid and Evelyn Micklich; two brothers, Joseph Loisate and Fred Loisate; and one grandson, Curtis Elam.

Cremation will take place and there will be no services at his request.
