Sonya Dionne Clark, 42, of Green River, passed away March 17, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. A longtime resident of Green River and former resident of Rawlins, Clark died following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Sept. 2, 1973 in Rock Springs, and grew up in Green River. Her parents are Timothy Ray Wadsworth and Elaine Autry Wadsworth.
Clark attended schools in Green River and graduated in 1991. She furthered her education at the University of Wyoming, graduating with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and social work.
She was employed as a social worker at the department of family services for nine years. She had also been employed by the Mission at Castle Rock and enjoyed the residents.
Her interests were helping people, painting, gardening and spending time with her family. She loved all children.
Survivors include her parents Tim and Elaine Wadsworth of Green River; one brother, Jimm Clark of Green River; her paternal grandparents Dee and Jeannie Wadsworth of Green River; two nieces Nikki Clark and Jadyn Clark; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father William "Bill" Clark, maternal grandparents Gus and Edna Autry and two uncles Nolan Autry and Oren Pruitt.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, at the L.D.S. Chapel, 1000 West 4th North, Green River. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday, one hour prior to services.
