Ervin Dick Wollman, 85, died March 8, 2016, at his home. He had been a longtime resident of Rock Springs.
He was born June 18, 1930 in Chasley, N.D., the son of David Paul Wollman and Barbara Kleinsasser Wollman. He attended schools in North Dakota and graduated from Bowden High School with the class of 1948. He also attended diesel mechanic school in New Rockfort, N.D.
He married Carman Azell Rhoads on June 19, 1953, in Bowden, N.D.
She preceded him in death Aug. 11, 2012.
He had been employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for Bridger Coal for 19 years, retiring in 1997.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.
He was a member of the Rock Springs Christian Church for 40 years.
His interests were his family, fishing and working on cars.
Survivors include his sons Blake Wollman and wife Tammy, Wade Wollman and wife Kayleen all of Rock Springs; daughter Marlys Sparks and husband Mike of Green River; brothers Ralph Wollman and wife Janet of Fargo, N.D., and Willis Wollman and wife Jo of San Angelio, Texas; sister-in-law Lillian Wollman of Gillette; grandchildren Mandi Wyatt and husband Jason of Chatsworth, Calif., Nate Wollman and wife Ellen of Rock Springs, Calvin Leischer of Price, Utah, Brittany Rushing and husband Matt of Green River, Nichole Ribordy and husband Jake of Rock Springs, Natalee Gomez and husband Nathan of Green River, and Kyle Wollman and wife Erica of New Zealand; great-grandchildren Angelyse Wyatt, Paxton Wollman, Rutledge Wollman, Jolee Wollman, Cash Leischer, Hunter Rushing, Brooks Rushing, Caris Rushing, Cameron Ribordy, MacKenzie Ribordy, Noah Ribordy, Hudson Gomez and Lincoln Gomez; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carman Wollman, his parents David and Barbara Wollman, and brother Jim Wollman.
Funeral services took place March 12.
Additional services and interment will take place in North Dakota.
