Joseph Micheal Buh, 90, of Green River, passed away March 7, 2016 at his home.
A longtime resident of Green River and former resident of Rock Springs, Buh died following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Feb. 17, 1926 in Rock Springs, the son of the late Andrew and Anna Prasnik Buh.
Buh attended schools in Rock Springs and was a Rock Springs High School graduate with the class of 1946 after returning from the war.
He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. Buh participated in the Wyoming Honor Flight for Veterans to visit the World War II Monument in Washington, D.C.
He married Margaret Beveridge Buh in Rock Springs on Aug. 30, 1947.
He was employed Mountain Fuel Supply for 21 years as a warehouseman, then he worked as a purchasing agent at both Stauffer Chemical and FMC, retiring in January,1991.
Buh was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
His interests included fishing, camping golf and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Margaret Buh of Green River; two daughters, Barbara Walker and husband Jerry of Green River and Judy Dearcorn and husband Duane of Powell; one sister, Mary Susich of Sequim, Wash .; sister-in-law Jean Purcell of Rock Springs; four grandchildren, Jackie Carland and husband Curt of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Cheryl Lavoy and husband Craig of Cheyenne, Casey Dearcorn and wife Brandi and Paul Dearcorn and wife Danielle, all of Powell; nine great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 900 Hitching Post Drive, Green River. Inurnment will be in the Riverview Cemetery Columbarium.
