Bobby and Donna Lewis Cudney of Green River will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on March 3, 2016.
An open house in their honor will take place, Saturday, March 5 at the United Congregational Church, 350 Mansface, Green River, from 4-6 p.m. The family will host the open house; and would like to invite family and friends to join them.
Donna is the daughter of the late John and Mabel McBride Lewis of Green River. Bob is the son of the late William and Thelma Massey Cudney of Green River.
They were married at the United Congregational Church in Green River, March 3, 1956, by the Rev. Don Mills. The couple honeymooned in Salt Lake City. They returned to Green River where Bob was employed as a machinist on the Union Pacific Railroad. Donna was employed in the telephone and telegraph office at the U.P. Railroad.
In 1960, the couple moved to Sunset, Utah. Bobby transferred with the railroad and retired with 32 years of service in 1988.
Donna was employed by the Internal Revenue Service and the Defense Depot Ogden.
She retired in 1993 with 33 years of civil service. In 1997, they returned to live in Green River.
Bob and Donna were blessed with three children, Pamela Kay Woolsey, Robert and wife Connie Cudney and Cynthia Ann Simpson. They have seven grandchildren Brett and wife Kristine Woolsey of Layton, Utah, Bobby and wife Jamie Cudney of Green River, Apatua Cudney of Green River, Shawn and wife Erin Cudney of Meridian, Idaho, Chris and wife Bonnie Martin of Green River, Daniel Martin and girlfriend Stephanie Koloff, of Parachute, Colo., and Krystal Simpson of Green River. They have 13 great, grandchildren, Justis, Cassidy, McKenzie, Ayden and Damion Woolsey; Josh, Allysa, Colter and Jordan Cudney; Briggs Cudney, Zander, Charity, Royce and Lyric Martin.
Bob and Donna's most enjoyment comes from raising their granddaughter, Krystal, and time spent with family and friends. The families share a lot of great memories from time spent at their summer home in Pinedale. They enjoy camping, fishing and riding four-wheelers with family.
They have been fortunate enough to enjoy a lot of traveling through the years with many road trips, trips in their fifth wheel and five cruises. They still enjoy taking trips to Nevada.
