Ronald Lee Bingham, 57, of Green River, passed away Feb. 2, 2016 at his home. A lifelong resident of Green River, Bingham died following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Nov. 25, 1958 in Rock Springs, the son of Francis Bingham and Phyllis Peterson Bingham.
Bingham attended schools in Green River and was a 1977 graduate of Green River High School. He also attended various classes in drinking water, waste water and welding.
He married Joanne Charline Leblanc Bingham in Lynn, Mass. on Sept. 29, 1996.
Bingham was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a bridge welder for seventeen years and retired in 2004. He was the owner and operator of Green Thumbs.
His interests included fishing, hunting, darts, bowling and was an avid New England Patriots fan.
He also played softball and was an accomplished pitcher. Most importantly, he attended all of his granddaughter's school programs.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2350.
Survivors include his wife Joanne C. Bingham of Green River; his mother Phyllis Bingham of Green River; son Dustin Bingham and companion Jaden Romango of Rock Springs; daughter Pamela Brewer and husband Alan of Green River; four brothers, John Bingham, Jim Bingham and wife Mary, Robert Bingham, all of Green River, and Rod Bingham, and wife Pat of Rock Springs; two sisters, Janice Castillon of Green River and Cherolyn Transtrum and husband Mac; one granddaughter Kasidee Leigh Brewer; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Francis Bingham and his cousin Paul Siler.
Following cremation a celebration of his life will be conducted noon Friday, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2350 at 88 North 2nd East in Green River. Donations for the family of Ronald Bingham are being taken at Green River Basin Federal Credit Union.
