David Drakos, 43, of Green River, was arrested for alleged child abuse.

Animal control was dispatched to an address on West Teton Boulevard to dispose of a dead deer. The deer’s remains were removed from the property.

Firefighters and officers were dispatched to 475 South 2nd East Street in regards to a portable outhouse fire.

An individual at the scene used snow to kill the flames and firefighters arrived to ensure the fire was extinguished. The incident is under investigation.

Alexis Sackett, 28, of Rock Springs, was arrested on a warrant from district court for an alleged probation violation on an original charge of child endangerment.

Officers spoke with someone at 1000 West Flaming Gorge Way about questions the person had regarding a civil matter.

The vehicle’s owner was contacted and told officers the trunk was accidentally left open.

A resident flagged down officers and reported possible mischief occurring along Scotts Bottom Road.

Officers checked the area and found evidence of people driving carelessly, but no damage resulting from mischief was found.

Officers contacted an person behind the Wyoming Land and Title building looking through the trash can.

The person told officers they were looking for boxes.

Officers checked on an unattended vehicle with its hazard lights flashing at 1410 Uinta Drive.

A kitten found on Uinta Drive was taken to the city’s animal shelter.

Officers helped a person on Trona Drive who flagged them down and asked for directions.

Officers responded to a subject removal call at 599 East 4th South Street. The individual left the property after speaking with officers.

Officers attempted to find a vehicle driving along Scotts Bottom Road after hours.

Officers helped a driver who slid off the road on East Flaming Gorge Way.

Castle Rock Ambulance personnel and police officers responded to a medical call at an undisclosed address.

While on location, officers arrested Daniel James, 28, of Green River who was arrested on an arrest and hold order for an alleged probation violation.

The GRPD assisted with traffic control on Interstate 80’s eastbound lanes after a vehicle crash.

Officers also checked on a driver involved in a vehicle collision on the interstate.

A resident flagged down officers at 316 East Flaming Gorge Way for a citizen assist.

Police officers contacted a resident on Monroe Avenue who claimed prescription medication was stolen from their residence.

The resident also wanted a trespass warning issued to an individual for the property.

Officers issued the warning and a report was filed. The incident is under investigation.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at an undisclosed address.

Officers spoke to the parties involved and spoke with someone who wanted a trespass warning issued for another person. That individual was contacted and issued the trespass warning.

The GRPD is investigating reports of child abuse at an undisclosed location.

Officers were contracted by a person who has information about possible drug use.

Animal control was contacted by a resident on Kentucky Street regarding a dead deer.

The damage appeared to be from a vehicle and a report was filed regarding the incident.

Officers were dispatched to a 911-hang up call. Officers contacted an employee who misdialed a phone number and the call was accidental.

Animal control officers met an individual at the animal shelter for a pet adoption.

Officers responded to a report of abandoned vehicles on Sunset Street. Officers tagged three vehicles.

Officers responded to a welfare check on an undisclosed business, in reference to the reporting party calling the business and the business hanging up the phone. Officers contacted employees who advised they were OK, but having problems with their phones.

Officers were flagged down by an individual on Riverview Drive, in reference to a parking complaint. Officers tagged a camper for a parking violation.

Animal control picked up a lost chihuahua on Pennsylvania Boulevard, which was taken to the animal shelter.

A 16-year-old male resident of Green River was arrested on an active district court warrant for an alleged probation violation.

An individual contacted the GRPD regarding suspicious computer and phone message sent to the individual.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 1775 Hitching Post Drive, in reference to an individual that yelled at another person and drove across their grass.

Officers contacted the involved parties and addressed the issue.

Officers were flagged down by an individual on Colorado Drive who had questions.

Officers were dispatched to a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival, officers contacted the caller and determined the call was a result of kids playing with a phone.

Officer responded to a report of a disturbance at an undisclosed address, in reference to individuals outside yelling at each other.

Upon arrival, officers contacted two individuals parked in the area who advised they had not heard a disturbance.

Officers located a vehicle described in a REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) report at 599 East 4th South Street. Officers contacted the driver, who was not impaired.

Officers responded to a barking dog complaint on North 5th West Street.

Officers contacted an individual who requested an extra patrol for their residence.

Officers responded to a citizen assist on Evers Street, in reference to an individual who fell. The person was not injured, but needed help standing up.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a residential kitchen fire on East 3rd North Street. Officers contacted Cpl. Tony Niemiec of the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office who had been in the immediate area, exiting the house escorting the resident outside.

An officer assisted Niemiec in escorting the resident away from the residence and into a patrol vehicle.

Officers provided traffic control, while firefighters ensured the scene was safe and investigated the fire.

Niemiec and the resident were checked out on scene by Castle Rock Ambulance personnel for possible smoke inhalation.

The resident was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

Officers responded to a report of an attempted scam on South Dakota Street.

The reporting party received a phone call from an individual claiming to be with a credit card member service.

The caller reportedly knew some information about the reporting party and offered to lower interest rates on the reporting party’s credit cards for a fee.

The reporting party told the caller they did not want the service but was told it was already charged to their account.

The reporting party checked their account and no charge had been made to it. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.
