Eric Tune died unexpectedly Jan. 10, 2016 in Tucson, Ariz., at the age of 51.
Tune is survived by Wife Michelle Tune of Tucson, Ariz.; son Braden Tune and wife Mary, grandson Connor Tune of West Point, N.Y., daughter Ashley Tune, his parents, Marion (Hodges) Cox of Big Piney, Jim and Carmen Tune, of Green River; siblings Erin Tune and wife Teresa and family of Big Piney, Nicole (Tune) Calvert and husband David and family of Rock Springs, Ty Horton of Mendota, Calif., Carlos "Leo" Cordova, wife Linda and family of Rock Springs, and Deborah Cordova of Denver, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Tune is preceded in death by his grandparents James and Izora "Butch" Hodges, Kenneth and Daphne Danley, and James and Julia Tune, and several uncles and cousins.
Tune was born Nov, 10, 1964 in San Diego, Calif., to Jim Tune and Marion Cox. He attended both Rock Springs and Green River High Schools where he ran track and played football, and graduated from Green River High School in 1983.
Tune enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1986 where he trained and became an airborne ranger, he served honorably through Desert Storm where he was wounded and eventually received an honorable discharge in December 1991.
Tune later met and married his wife Michelle in 1995.
Tune had various interests, including reading, politics, and gaming, but nothing was more important to him than his family. He made it his first priority to always stay in touch and involved in his family's lives, regardless of how far away they were. In the words of his wife, Eric was a force of nature and carried an extreme passion for everything that he was interested in, he was a man of deep, steadfast convictions and he held honor and loyalty in the highest regard. He will be forever loved and missed by all of his family and friends.
Memorial services will take place to celebrate Eric's life at a later date.
