Barbara Ann Mottonen, 62, of Rock Springs, passed away Jan. 3, 2016 at her home. A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Mottonen died following a lengthy illness.
She was born on De. 31, 1953 in Rock Springs, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Betty J. Martin Mottonen.
Mottonen attended the Rock Springs High School and graduated in 1972.
She was employed at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County for many years as an administrative assistant until ill health forced her retirement.
Her interests included spending time with her family and cat, Boo Boo. She enjoyed the outdoors and working.
She is survived by her sister Melinda Ransom and husband Doug of Rock Springs; niece Brooke Shassetz and husband Mark of Rock Springs and nephew Chris Ransom and wife Amy, also of Rock Springs; her companion of many years Terry Meador of Rock Springs; great nieces and nephews Kennedy and Karsten, Shelby, Bailee, Nathan, Kyleigh, Emily and Aliza; and family of her heart Libby Meador and her children Kelly and Tegan, B.J. Meador and wife Naomi and their children Jackie and Saki; aunts
Lois Mottonen of Cheyenne and Isabel Martin of Denver, and cousins Joyce Swanson and Raymond L. Martin of Cheyenne. She was preceded in death by her parents and uncle Robert B. Martin and cousin Richard A Martin.
