Dorothy Mae Overy, 83, of Superior, passed away Dec. 18, 2015 at her home.
She was born on September 4, 1932 in Kemmerer, Wyoming, the daughter of the late George Delmar Phillips and Sarah Verna Swenson Phillips.
Overy attended schools in Superior and was a 1950 graduate of the Superior High School.
She married Clifford Overy on Sept. 23, 1954 and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2003.
Overy was the owner and operator of Canyon Bar for 32 years and retired in 2014.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Her interests were arrowhead and artifact hunting, fishing, hunting, bowling. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and having coffee with her friends. She also loved dancing, watching western movies and game shows and playing games with her family. Survivors include two sons, Clifford Dean Overy and Danny Evan Overy, both of Superior, and two daughters Cheryl Marie Ackerley of Carlin, Nev. and Sandra Kay Burke of Evans, Colo.; 12 grandchildren Phillip, Steven, Amanda, Jeremiah, Sarah, Verna, Andrew, Bobby, Diana, Jesse Dean, Rebeccah, Brittany and Derek; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clifford Overy; one brother, Bill Phillips; one sister, Trudy Albertini; two daughters-in-law, Carla Overy and Norma Overy; one son in law, Albert Ackerley.
Cremation will take place and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
