Judy K. Winter, 73, of Rock Springs, passed away Dec. 10, 2015, at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Winter died following a brief illness.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1942, in Rock Springs, the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Zancanella.
Winter attended schools in Rock Springs, and was a 1960 graduate of the Rock Springs High School.
She married Charley Winter on Aug. 18, 1973, at the First Congregational Church in Rock Springs.
Winter was employed as a secretary for Sweetwater Federal Savings and Loan for 20 years and retired in the mid 1980s.
Her interests included bowling and traveling in their motorhome.
She was a member of First Congregational Church and the church choir. She was also a member of Sweetwater County Search and Rescue. She volunteered at the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen and at the Urban Renewal Association with her husband.
Survivors include her husband Charley Winter of Rock Springs; three daughters, Tammy Surline and husband Pat of Rock Springs, Tammy Moyer of Rock Springs, and Linda Gustaffson and husband Carl of El Cajon, Calif .; brother Robert C. Zancanella of Salt Lake City; sister Patricia J. Zancanella of Salt Lake City; two grandchildren, Stevi Campbell and husband Nick and Crystal Moyer; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson Levi Zanetti.
Funeral services took place Wednesday.
