Albina Rudolph

Albina Rudolph, 102, of Rock Springs passed away Nov. 28, 2015 at the Sage View Care Center following a brief illness.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1912 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Valentine Benedicich and Kathryn Justin. She was orphaned at age twelve.

Rudolph attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1931 graduate of the Rock Springs High School. She entered nursing school following high school and graduated July 1, 1933.

She married Anton Rudolph at Saint Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. They observed their 75th wedding anniversary in 2008.

Rudolph was a member of the Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Western Stars Lodge and Young at Heart Senior Citizens Center.  For more than 30 years she went weekly to Sage View Care Center to write letters for the patients.  

Her interests were making rugs, polka dancing, playing bingo, playing pinochle and bunco at the Young at Heart Senior Center.  

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Amizich, grandchildren, Diane Divis and husband Dave, Carol Wagner and husband Mike, all of Green River; Julie Buck and husband Fred of Iowa, Glen Presho of Arizona, Angela Gantt and husband Mark of New York, Larry Amizich and Dan Presho of Rock Springs. She has nine great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters in infancy, one brother John and husband Anton and one daughter Antoinette Presho and one son Paul Rudolph. Three sons-in-law; Martin Amizich, Bill Presho and Mark Presho.

A mass of Christian burial took place Wednesday. Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
