The small children arrived to see noodles in a rainbow of colors ready for them to play with.
During the weekly Story Time at the Sweetwater County Library last week, kids learned how macaroni noodles are made. They then made small sculptures with pasta of different shapes and sizes. Youth Services Manager Becky Iwen said the Story Time came about after she learned National Noodle Day would be celebrated that week. Iwen said the noodles offer a sensory activity for the children and the different color dyes used can help children learn and recognize colors. She said the activity also gives children a chance to use their motor manipulation skills in placing and using different noodles while playing with them.
