Lady Wolves take Riverton

The GRHS Volleyball team came away this week with a win and a loss. They started off the week on Tuesday with a loss against Evanston, but picked up their game again against Riverton and won.

The game against Riverton went on for five sets; Green River winning three of the five.

"It was really good. It was five sets, so we had to fight a lot, and I think they showed a really good job of fighting through some things," Coach Rikki Shantz said. "I feel like that game got our defense back on track."

The defense has been a little hesitant the past couple weeks, Shantz said and is picking back up.

The GRHS volleyball teams will continue their season, competing against Rock Springs today, at Rock Springs High School.

Freshman volleyball takes place at 3 p.m., Sophomores play at 4 p.m., junior varsity volleyball plays at 5 p.m., and varsity volleyball hits the court at 6 p.m.

Shantz said for the game Wednesday, they need to continue working on their defense, and strengthening it.

"We're looking to just getting that defense back on track, continue to hit and pass really well because that's always been a really consistent thing for us this year," Shantz said. "Just looking to get another conference win."
