Fred "Fritz" Yenko, 84, of Rock Springs, passed away Oct. 6, 2015 at the home of his son.
A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Yenko had been in ill health for the past year.
He was the son of John Yenko and Frances Retel Yenko.
Yenko attended shools in Rock Springs and was a graduate of the Rock Springs High School with the class of 1949.
He married the former Ruby Kay Wolf in Rock Springs on Aug. 24, 1958 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 2005.
Yenko was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He was a self employed auto mechanic.
His interests included hunting and fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include son Ken Yenko and companion Juanita Perez of Rock Springs; two daughters Janet Avery of Ogden, Utah and Karen Vitt of Pinedale; four grandchildren, Sam Avery, Shari Howells and husband Jeff, Anthony Vitt and Zack Vitt and wife Ahna; five great-grandchildren, Kiera, Devin and Kayden Avery, Miryah Bass and LeRoy Vitt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruby and one brother John Yenko.
Cremation will take place and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
