Actors’ Mission will perform “The Hound of the Baskervilles,” a Sherlock Holmes mystery by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, adapted to the stage by F. Andrew Leslie, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m., and Oct. 8, 9 and 10 at 7 p.m. Performances will be at the Elk’s Lodge in Rock springs and a complimentary dinner will be served one hour prior to every performance. Aaron Volner directs.
In the play, legendary detective Sherlock Holmes (Rannyn Stephens) and his companion Dr. Watson (Rick Jorgensen) are approached by Sir Henry Baskerville (Tom Zuehlsdorf), the last known descendent of the Baskerville line, about the mysterious death of his uncle and the strange incidences that have occurred since his arrival in London. Sinister forces seem to have their gaze on the young lord, and it may not be safe for Henry to return to the hall of his ancestors. Holmes and Watson are plunged into one of their most dangerous mysteries as they work to unravel the shadowy plot unfolding within the depths of Dartmoor.
The play features new and returning talents to the Actors’ Mission stage and will be the theater’s 50th production.
All Actors’ Mission productions are partially funded by Sweetwater Board of Cooperative Educational Services.
