Helen Edwards Cook

Helen Edwards Cook passed away in Sugarland, Texas, Sept. 23, 2015.

She was born in Denver June 23, 1925.

She is survived by daughters Carolyn Cook, Janet Boutton (Tom), Nancy Been (Bob), and Mary Haney (Larry), nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Marguerite Edwards and her former husband, Ted Cook.

Helen was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1943.

She received her BSN from the University of Utah in 1948. She practiced nursing from 1948-1953 and returned to the profession in 1982, finally retiring from Memorial Southwest Hospital in 1993. Helen was beloved by her family and all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be Saturday, at 2 p.m., at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, Texas.
