Wolves tackle Riverton Fri.

The Wolves will take the field against their first real opponents Friday night as they take on the Riverton Wolverines at Wolves Stadium at 7 p.m.

Last week, the Wolves participated in a jamboree with Lander Valley High School and Mountain View High School, resulting in a team performance head coach Don Maggi was very happy with.

"I think we got off to a good start," Maggi said.

Maggi said he noticed few mistakes from the team during their first live action of the season last week, but said most the time coaches are looking only for their kids to play hard this early in the season. Going into Friday's game, Maggi said Riverton graduated many of their best players last year, but expects a tough team to come from Fremont County regardless.

"They're going to put a competitive team out there," Maggi said.

While the clash between the Wolves and the Wolverines will be the main event Friday, the high school also plans to introduce the 2015 Hall of Fame inductees during a halftime presentation.
