Priscilla Marie Dolenc

Priscilla Marie Dolenc, 95, of Rock Springs passed away Aug. 29, 2015 at her home with her family at her side. A longtime resident of Superior and Rock Springs, Dolenc passed away following a lengthy illness.

Dolenc was born on July 13, 1920 in Cumberland, the daughter of John Mecca and Margherita Aleina Mecca.

She married William Dolenc in Manila, Utah on July 29, 1939. They were later married in the Catholic Church. They were married for more than 73 years before he passed away on June 29, 2013.

Priscilla was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

Her interests included tying flies, cooking and baking, hunting, snowmachines, ice fishing, camping, spending time with family and friends.

She spent many hours at the Young at Heart Senior Center.

Survivors include her two sons, William J. Dolenc and wife Janet and Joey Dolenc and wife Denise, both of Rock Springs; grandchildren Patrick Dolenc of Rock Springs, Dean Dolenc and wife Tiffanee of Riverton, Utah; Laura Dolenc Garrett and husband Scott, Joseph Dolenc, Jr. (J.J.), both of Rock Springs; great-grandchildren Hunter and Haillie Dolenc of Riverton, Utah, Robert Padmos of Helena, Mont., Justin Padmos and wife Jessica of Salt Lake City; great-great grandchildren Easton Garrett of Rock Springs, and Kaine Padmos of Helena, Mont.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willie who was the love of her life; four brothers, Joseph, Jim, Pasco and Rudy Mecca; two sisters, Mary Beachler and Minnie Gunter and many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial took place today.

Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, north of Rock Springs.

Pallbearers were Dean Dolenc, Patrick Dolenc, Joseph Dolenc, Jr., Steven Knezovich, David Budak and Jeffrey Dodd. Honorary Pallbearers were Hunter Dolenc, Greg Moon, Brian Moon and Brad Moon.
