Karlene "Karly" Bozner

Karlene "Karly" Bozner, 71, of Rock Springs, passed away Aug. 24, 2015 at her cabin in Cora.             

She was born on Feb. 2, 1944 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Dutch Heikes and Janet Stoddard Heikes. 

Bozner attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1962.

She worked as a secretary for Halliburton and BJ Services for more than 20 years until her retirement in 2008.

Her interests included fishing, shopping and decorating. 

She loved the outdoors and was a big supporter of her grandson's golfing tournaments.

She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her son Mike Bozner and wife Sheri of Rock Springs; daughter Melanie Jones and husband Bob of Phoenix; sister Gail Muskulin of Sheridan; nine grandchildren Kara Fleig, Hayden Benton, Christian Allen, Ethan Bozner, Jeremy McDonough, Samantha Preuit, Lawrence Jones, Bobbi Jo Sampley and Tricia Jones; great-grandchild Kyndall Johnston and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Neil and Barry Heikes.

Cremation has taken place at the White Mountain Crematory.

A memorial service took place Monday with Father Emilio Cabrera officiating.
