Daniel Milton Stewart, 63, formerly of Green River, passed away July 10, 2015 due to complications of a sudden illness in Casper.
Born Dec. 20, 1951 in Rock Springs, Stewart was the first of six children born to Leo and Louise Stewart. He attended schools in Green River and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. He later married Denise Durrans and they had two children, Tracy Lynn and Jason. In 1992, He had a third child, Jareb with Wendy Fischer.
Dan worked at Allied Chemical before moving to Kansas City, Mo. where he worked at Missouri Power and Light. He later moved back to Wyoming, continuing to work as an electrician.
His interests included his dog Smokey, family, the outdoors, photography, camping and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Survivors include his dog Smokey and his five children; Tracy Lynn and partner Chris of Fort Collins, Colo., Jason and wife Laura of Arizona, Jareb of Casper, Cami and Kirsten, both of Grain Valley, Mo.; two grandchildren, Michael of Washington and Samantha of Arizona; three brothers and two sisters, Antoinette "Toni" Hargrove and husband Rick of Casper, Doug Stewart and wife Barb of Green River, Kraig Stewart and partner Kris of Green River, Tammy L. Neilsen, Patrick Stewart and many nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Louise Stewart, one son Neal, a nephew Anthony, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
A family viewing took place July 15 in Casper, followed later with cremation.
A memorial service for friends and family will take place at the Evansville Community Center Aug. 29 at 1 p.m.
