Crystal Lee Hermansen, 31, passed away Aug. 8, 2015 in Portland, Ore., surrounded by family and friends.
Hermansen was born July 16, 29184 to Tom and Victoria Hermansen in Rock Springs. She graduated from Green River High School in 2002 and later the Southwest Beauty Academy. She married Wilson Robertson Aug. 5, 2006. They later divorced.
She moved to Kenai, Alaska, where she enjoyed fishing for king salmon at Fish Camp, drawing, art, camping and traveling. She has a passion for rescuing animals and finding homes for them. She was eclectically fashionable, artistic, a gypsy and a free spirit. She loved her Kenai Elks Lodge family.
She is survived by her mother Victoria and life partner William Ivey; father Tom and wife Susie; sister Chelsea Northrup and husband Geddy; brothers Kelly and Garrett; niece and nephew Zella and Oliver Northrup; partner Chris Wilkinson; great-grandmother Rebecca Valdez; grandmother Pat Valdez; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter; Dylann (Scout) Wilkinson; great-grandfather Carlos Valdez; grandparents Victoria Jordan, Charlie Valdez, Harold and Merle Hermansen, Bill and Doris Buchanan.
A celebration of life will take place Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hermansen home located at 20 Gaensslen Drive in Green River. A luncheon and bonfire will follow. People are encouraged to bring pictures of Hermansen to share. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the Red Desert Humane Society.
