Beckilyn Munro Dawes

Beckilyn Munro Dawes, 57, of Green River, passed away June 28, 2015 at her home in Green River. 

Longtime resident of Green River, Dawes passed away following a brief illness.

She was born on Nov. 24, 1957 in Murray, Utah, the daughter of Dorrian Evert Munro and Noreen Nelson Munro.

Dawes attended schools in Soda Springs, Idaho and graduated with the class of 1976.

She married Dean M. Dawes in 1997 in Green River.

Her interests included gardening, camping and crafts. She was famous for her birthday cakes and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Dean M. Dawes of Green River; son Dean C. Dawes and wife April of Green River; daughters Tonill Herbin and husband Jason of Lyman, Melissa Neher and husband Shane of Jamestown, Angie Murillo and husband Jimmy of Fort Collins, Colo., and Lindy Deckard and husband Phillip of Springfield, Mo .; brother Joe LaForge and wife Rita of Sheridan; sisters Patricia Anderson and husband Marvin of Soda Springs, Idaho, Cynthia Mangone and husband Russ of Taylorsville, Utah, Teresa Lakeman and husband Randy of Elko, Nev. and Sandra Kartchner and husband Kevin of Boise, Idaho, Michelle Jensen, of Minot, N.D., Warlene Comes Up and Irma Jane Birdhat, both of Pryor, Mont., Ramona Keller and husband John of Lander, Tina Cambell and husband Tom of Missoula, Mont., and Alberta Whitebody of Minot, N.D .; 16 grandchildren, Santi Murillo, Damien Murillo, Cole McKinlay, Hailee Murillo, Dean J. Dawes, Andrew Dawes, Isaac Dawes, Jordan Harrison and wife Cassidy, Jon Harrison and wife Natalie, Josh Harrison, Samantha Herbin, Shaundelle Miller, Ambria Miller, Lexi McKinlay, Andrew Neher, Aiden Neher and Jasmin Deckard and one great-grandson Leo Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the LDS Chapel at 1000 West 4th North Street in Green River.

Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.
