Fabiola C. Garcia, 79, of Rock Springs, passed away June 10, 2015 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Garcia died following a sudden illness.
She was born on May 8, 1936 in Arroyo Seco, N.M., the daughter of the late Willie Cordova and Amilia Casados Cordova.
Garcia attended schools in Arroyo Seco, N.M.
She married Braulio U. "Ben" Garcia in Green River July 19, 1950 and he preceded her in death on June 25, 2011.
Garcia was employed by Sweetwater County School District No.1 and was a server for its food service department for many years.
Her interests included gardening, cooking, attending church and spending time with her family.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community.
Survivors include four sons, Samuel Garcia and wife Dee and George Garcia, all of Rock Springs, Glen Garcia and wife Kathleen of Cheyenne, and Kevin Garcia and wife Julie of San Diego, Calif .; three daughters, Pat Sisneros and companion Larry Connell, Molly Miller and husband Lonnie and Francis Black, all of Rock Springs; two brothers, Ruben Cordova and wife Lillian of Taos, N.M., and Dan Cordova of Florida; one sister, Cora Sanchez and husband Gene of Fort Collins, Colo .; three half-brothers Arsenio Cordova and wife Kathy, Fernando Cordova and wife Bernice, and Francis Cordova and wife Ernestina, all of Taos, N.M .; one half-sister, Maria Lena Marabal and husband Randy of Albuquerque, N.M .; 14 grandchildren, Brandon Garcia and wife Misty, Rumaldo Sisneros, Maria Sisneros, Lori Pitts and husband Casey, Jessica Keith, all of Rock Springs, Bert Miller of Rock Springs, Megan Tozzi and husband
Tim Tozzi, Jr. of Rock Springs, Mandy Garcia of Rock Springs, Cory Garcia and wife Caiti of West Jordan, Utah; Morgan Krotzer of Rock Springs, Kansas Garcia of Rock Springs, Daniel Garcia of Cheyenne, Ryan Garcia of Cheyenne, and Sara Garcia of San Diego, Calif. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, several cousins, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband.
A mass of christian burial Took place Wednesday.
