Carla Jean Pershin, 83, passed away May 27, 2015, at the home of her daughter in St. George, Utah. A longtime resident of Green River and St. George, Utah, Pershin died following a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 5, 1931, in Green River, the daughter of the late Howard and Twila Moffitt.
Pershin attended schools in Green River and graduated in 1949 as valedictorian.
She married Rudy V. Pershin on Oct. 23, 1949, in Green River and he preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1984.
Her interests included beadwork, sewing and gardening. Pershin was caretaker for her parents, husband and son.
Survivors include two daughters, DeeAnn Pershin of Green River and Dawn Lynn Kliarsky of St. George, Utah; grandson Jordon Kliarsky of Las Vegas, Nev .; and sister Deann Galanis and husband George of Westlake Village, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rudy V. Pershin; and son Rudy H. Pershin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel, 263 East Flaming Gorge Way in Green River. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Vase Chapel one hour prior to services.
