Harley Lininger, 76, of Rock Springs passed away May 7, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. He was a longtime resident of Rock Springs and former resident of Maryville, Mo.
He was born on Aug. 19, 1938, in Quitman, Mo., the son of John Austin Lininger and Pearl Iona Parrish Lininger.
Lininger attended schools in Quitman, Mo., and graduated in 1957.
He married the former Susan Joan Surface in Hiawatha, Kan., Dec. 13, 1962.
Lininger was employed at Black Butte Coal for 10 years and retired in 1989 as a heavy equipment operator. His interests included riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Susan Lininger of Rock Springs; two sons, John Austin Lininger and wife Sandi and DeWayne Patrick Lininger, all of Rock Springs; three daughters, Melinda Sticken of Pickering, Mo., Barbara Jean Noland and husband Tom of Maryville, Mo., and Dottie Roy and husband Ron of Rock Springs; one brother, Delbert Lininger and wife Evelyn of Skidmore, Mo .; two sisters, Sharon Ferguson and husband Randall of Savannah, Mo., and Diane Beason of Skidmore, Mo .; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenny Lininger, and one son-in-law, David Davison.Memorial services took place Monday. Graveside services and inurnment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Skidmore, Mo.
