Tommy Eugene Potter, 62, of Rock Springs passed away April 9, 2015. A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Potter passed away suddenly.
He was born on June 24, 1952 in Rock Springs, the son of the late Blaine Potter and Florence Delgado.
Potter attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1971.
He served in the United States Army.
Potter was a truck driver for PIE and PDQ for several years, until his retirement in 2001.
His interests included spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren, truck driving and riding his Harley-Davidson.
Survivors include three daughters, Tonya Marie Vondenkamp of Casper, Brandy Lynn Potter and boyfriend Justin of Pray, Mont. and Crystal Vance and husband Chris of Laurel, Mont .; two brothers, Shane Keikes of Orlando, Fla. and Troy Heikes of Purcell Okla .; five sisters, Darlene Urrutia and husband Robert of Rock Springs, Connie Lucas of Rock Springs, Tanya McGarvey and husband Bill of Reliance, Dovee Taylor of Royse City, Texas and Roxann Todd of Edgewater, Fla .; five grandchildren, Christian Vondenkamp and wife Rikki and Mykael Vondenkamp, both of Rock Springs, Gabby Vance of Laurel, Mont., Victoria and Izabelle Potter-Spanne of Pray, Mont. and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine Potter and Florence Retel; one brother, Ronnie Potter; step-father Joe Retel and one grandson, Donavyn Potter-Spanne.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service with military honors will take place 2 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion at 551 Broadway Street in Rock Springs.
