The Green River High School boys and girls soccer teams will look to get back to winning ways tomorrow afternoon at Wolves Stadium.
After opening the season with 4A West Conference victories in Evanston, both teams dropped their last two games at a Jamboree March 28 in Casper.
The Lady Wolves (2-2, 1-0 4A West) will open the doubleheader at 3 p.m. against a resurgent Rock Springs team who has opened the season 3-1 and also picked up a 4A West victory over Evanston.
Just four games into the season, the two teams have played three common opponents. Both teams were able to defeat Riverton and Evanston, but dropped close affairs to Sheridan High School.
Last week, Green River head coach Tracy Wyant said her to team learned a lot from the games, and it was good starting parting point for the season.
She said at the games she playing a lot of younger players and trying to figure out her starting lineup.
Following the girl’s matchup at 3 p.m., the rivalry boys game will take place at 5 p.m. at the stadium.Green River (1-2-1, 1-0 4A West) has shared two common opponents with the Tigers (1-1-2, 0-1 4A West).
Both teams tied 1-1 with Sheridan and lost 1-0 to Riverton.
After losses to Riverton and Campbell County at the Kelly Walsh Jamboree, Beiber said his team needs to trust each other better and also work on distribution and shooting.
