Evelyn King, 83, of Green River passed away on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015 at her home. A resident of Green River for 83 years, King died following a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 21, 1931 in Morgan, Utah, the daughter of the late John W. Price and Ruby Lee Price.
King attended schools in Green River and married her husband Bruce E. King in Evanston in 1949.
Survivors include her husband Bruce of Green River. One son, Jeffery King of Rock Springs; six daughters, Kathleen Miller and husband Darrell, Pennie Byrd and husband Larry of Green River, Lorraine Sisneros and husband Anthony of Mora, N.M., Cindy Wood and husband Keith and Rebecca King, also of Green River; daughter-in-law Lela King of Green River; four brothers, John, Kenneth, James and Edwin Price, all of Green River; three sisters, Ruby Hayes of Salt Lake City, Betty Rose of Thayne and Ruth Riddle of Green River. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael King, one daughter, Bonnie Pulley and husband Roger, and one great-grandson, James Byrd.
Memorial services took place Tuesday.
