Physicians assistant starts at MHSC

Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County has a new physicians assistant.

Mark Sanders joined the team at the hospital in January and will be seeing his patients in the Family Medicine Clinic, located in the Medical Office and Physician Clinic connected to the hospital.

Sanders has practiced primary care and occupational medicine in Sweetwater County for the past 20 years, after serving as an EMT and working in industry for the 10 years prior.

He is originally from Powell and attended Western Wyoming Community College and the University of Wyoming before his medical training in New York City.

He enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family, his wife and daughter also work in the laboratory at the Hospital .

“I have had the privilege of taking care of many patients from the industries that support Sweetwater County, including their families. I was looking for something more dynamic and stable for my patients, as well as looking at future progress for myself,” Sanders said.

“I am excited to join Memorial Hospital and have the opportunity to use their resources and advancements to treat my patients, which I love taking care of,” Sander said. “I hope to start seeing patients as soon as possible and am looking forward to the stability that the hospital offers.”

At MHSC, Mark will continue caring for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics and be located in the Family Medicine Clinic.
