The Green River High School swim team picked up three all-conference performers at last weekends 4A West Meet.
Competing in their home pool, Brendan Bloomquist earned all-conference honors with a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. He also placed ninth in the 200-yard IM.
Sophomore Keyan Moore also had stellar performance for the Wolves earning all-conference honors with a second-place finish in the one-meter diving event.
Senior Paul Wright had a strong meet and also earned all-conference by finishing third in the 100-yard butterfly. He also finished tenth in the 200-yard IM.
As a team, Green River placed fourth out of six teams, finishing ahead of both Riverton and Natrona High Schools.
"I was really pleased with all the swimmers. They pretty much had their best times across the board," head coach Colleen Seiloff said. "It was an all around great meet."
Other top ten finishers included Miles Moffat finishing tenth in diving, Phillip Blume placing eighth in the 100-yard backstroke, and Ethan Moffatt finishing the 100-yard breaststroke in seventh place.
The Green River 200-yard medley relay placed fourth, the 200-yard freestyle relay came in fifth, and the 400-yard freestyle relay ended up in sixth place.
Seiloff said it was great to have a big meet in Green River.
"It was nice to have a lot of parents, family and friends in the stands cheering for the kids. Whenever you have a lot of people in the stands it helps," she said. "It's always nice to be able to swim in our own pool."
With state scheduled next week in Gillette, Green River swimmers will have one more chance to qualify for state at a last chance meet tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Rock Springs.
The squad currently has five members qualified for the state meet. Miles Moffat, Ethan Moffatt, Bloomquist, Moore, and Wright will all take part in the two-day meet.
