Joy Bond, 87, passed away Jan. 17 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston.
She was born Dec. 4, 1927 in Evanston, the daughter of James and Lydia (Smith) Nibarger.
She married Emery Bond March 27, 1948 in Salt Lake City. She started working at the hospital in Evanston as a nurse, and eventually made her way up to being a scrub nurse in the operating room. She retired in 1988.
She is survived by her sister Darlene DeVoy of Green River, her children Sharon Marmon and Randy Bond, both of Evanston; five grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter (Charlene); two sons Vance and James; one great grandchild Cameron; sister Carol and brother James.
Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be conducted in Evanston during the spring.
