The Green River High School boy’s swim team placed third at last week’s Rock Springs Quad competition.
The top individual finishers for the Wolves were Brendan Hobbs, who placed third in the 100-yard butterfly and Ethan Moffatt, who also placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke. Hobbs also placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle, while Moffatt was eighth in the 100-yard freestyle. Paul Wright placed fifth in the 200-yard IM and eighth in the 100-yard backstroke.
Keyan Moore placed fourth in diving. Coleton Spalding finished in fifth, Miles Moffat was sixth, and Jay Erickson was seventh.
Head coach Colleen Seiloff said individually the team did well and a lot of swimmers dropped times. She said they also had several swimmers get closer to qualifying for the 4A State tournament in March.
This week will be busy for Green River. They will travel to Evanston again today and this weekend for two competitions in Cheyenne.
Seiloff said the team had a lot of good workouts last week so they should be okay with three competitions in four days.
Seiloff added the following week the team will get a break with just one competition.
