New GR parks director hired

The city’s new parks and recreation director started Monday, taking the position that had been vacant since Allan Wilson retired and was subsequently voted on to the Green River City Council last year.

The new director, Brad Raney, comes to Green River after working in Casper as the city’s recreation supervisor for seven years. According to a press release from the city, Raney has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from BYU and a master’s degree in physical education and athletic administration from Idaho State University.
