Saundra Lynn Mahana passed away surrounded by family Dec. 14, 2014.
She was born in Richfield, Utah Aug. 25, 1946 and has been a resident of Wyoming for the last 50 years. She married James F. Mahana on August 17, 1983 in Dixon. It was a day he will never forget. She was an active member of Grace Tabernacle Church and lived everyday true to her beliefs. Her hobbies included camping, crocheting, reading, playing the piano and guitar, singing and spending time with her kids and grandkids. One of the grandkid's favorite past times is when she would play the guitar and sing to them
She was an excellent wife, loving mother and awesome granny to whom she is survived by her husband, James F. Mahana, sons Dan R. Watts and wife Francis and James R. Mahana, all of Green River. Daughters Loretta Gamble of Rock Springs; Phyllis Creighton and husband Jerry, Mary Dana Asher, all of Green River; and Katie Mahana, currently deployed to Saudi Arabia. Grandchildren are Dakota and Trey Watts, Shaleena and Kylee Mahana, Richard and April Gamble, Krista Buschelman, Kim Liebelt, Samantha and Alex Asher, Misti Millman and Stormi Orton; along with 19 great-grandchildren, and one sister Sanna Rae Draper and husband Ralph.
She was preceded in death by her parents Theron and Lujuana Funk, sisters Carol Lee Winn and Teresha King and daughter Lisa Morgan.
There will be a celebration of life Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Grace Tabernacle Church, 1175 Bridger Drive in Green River.
