Lorene Larsen Boggs

Lorene Larsen Boggs, 76, died Nov. 20 in San Diego, Calif.

She was born on July 5, 1938 in Carter to Ernest and Wilma Wall Larsen. Following her graduation from Rock Springs High School, she had a career as a legal/executive secretary in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Denver.

Lorene married William Boggs on Oct. 18, 1969 in Green River. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2010.

Lorene and her husband, lived in New Jersey and Salt Lake City, before settling in Tucson, Ariz. She loved the beautiful natural surroundings and views from her home. She pursued interests in golfing, reading, word puzzles and watching "Wheel of Fortune."

Survivors include step-daughters Mary Kay (Don) Muraoka of El Dorado Hills, Calif .; Margaret (Randy) Reed of San Diego, Calif .; step-son Rex Boggs of Rockhampton, Australia; brothers Stephen (Rae Lynn) Larsen of Rock Springs and Bob Larsen of Draper, Utah; grandchildren Sam Reed, Jill Fogel, Beth Thomas, Mark Muraoka and Ken Muraoka; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Mary Ellen Larsen, Darlene Davis, Lu Juana Bake, and brother Lonny Larsen.

In keeping with Boggs' wishes, a private memorial took place in San Diego. Internment will be at a later date at Hillside Memorial Cemetery in Redlands, Calif.
