Nancy Lee Pivik

Nancy Lee Pivik, 74, of Rock Springs passed away Nov. 29, 2014 at the Deseret Health and Rehab in Rock Springs. She was a longtime resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming.  

She was born on June 10, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Louise Lesko.

Pivik attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1958 graduate of the Rock Springs High School. She also attended Colorado State University.

She married Arthur P. Pivik in Rock Springs at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Sept. 18, 1960.  

Pivik was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community and was a member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxillary.  

Her interests were home decorating, crafts and her jungle room.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Arthur P. Pivik of Rock Springs; two sons, DeWayne Pivik and wife Debbie of Rock Springs and Edward Pivik of Houston, Texas; one daughter, DeAnna Hunter and husband Randy of Rock Springs; one half sister, Alice Oak of Iowa and three grandchildren, Branden Cheese, Kody Pivik and Erik Pivik.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Leon Lesko.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Rock Springs.

A parish rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Thursday at Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs. Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.

Friends may call at Vase Chapel Thursday, one hour prior to the rosary and on Friday morning at Vase Chapel, one hour prior to services.  

The family of Nancy Lee Pivik respectfully suggests that donations in her memory be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Community School Building Fund.
