Emma A. Magee

Emma A. Magee passed away Nov. 14 in Stanwood, Wash.

She was born Dec. 29, 1920 to William F. Willson and Mary Ann Crofts Willson. She was the youngest of 12 children. 

She grew up in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1938. She married John F. Taylor in December 1938. They later divorced.  She married Walter E. Magee in August 1973.  

During her years in Rock Springs, she was employed in the accounting department for Union Pacific Coal Company, was a bookkeeper for Bennion Motors and Dr. Lyle Lindley.  She retired from Questar Gas Company in 1982. While living in Rock Springs, she was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and Young At Heart Senior Center. She spent the last five years of her life living in Stanwood, Wash. with her granddaughter, Rae Ann Clark.

She is survived by her daughter Jeanne Zueck, son-in-law Robert Zueck, grandson Stephen E. Zueck and wife Tyra, and granddaughter Rae Ann Clark and husband George.

She is also survived by her four great-grandsons:  Aaron Zueck, Chad Zueck, Brad Clark and Blayson Bogataj. She is survived by her nephews, John Bowker and Edward Bowker of Rock Springs and several other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Edward C. Taylor, her husband Walter E. Magee and her 11 brothers and sisters.

Cremation has taken place and services will be announced at a later date.
