Banner year for Lincoln football

It was a great year for the Lincoln Middle School eighth-grade football team.

According to coach James Quiroz, both the “A” and “B” squads had undefeated seasons which was reflective of the effort and commitment that the athletes, parents, and staff put into this season.

“This year’s LMS 8th grade football was another great bunch of kids to coach. They worked hard throughout the season, were very coachable, and showed a lot of character and heart. I was really proud of the growth that each athlete made and the growth they made as a team,” he said. “Each athlete was willing to step up and meet any challenge that I gave them. They  made me, and our coaching staff grow that much more by challenging us to keep pushing ourselves in return.”

Quiroz added in addition to the athletes, they had a great coaching staff this year again, made better yet by the addition of coach Dan Hansen.

He thanked coaches Adam Baker, Nick Hokanson, and Hansen for their support and for a great year coaching middle school football.
