A large crowd was on hand in Green River earlier this month when the host Lady Wolves battled rival Rock Springs. The Lady Wolves are hoping for large crowds at this week's 4A West Regional tourney in Green River.
The Green River High School volleyball team will have a distinct advantage at this weeks 4A West Regional Tournament.
For the first time in six years, the Lady Wolves will host the tournament with games scheduled to take place starting Friday at 11 a.m.
Fifth-seeded Green River will open the tournament Friday at 1 p.m. against fourth-seed Evanston.
The Lady Red Devils defeated Green River last week in five sets. Head coach Rikki Shantz said her team did not play very well and was still almost able to beat Evanston.
She added they are on the verge of defeating them.
