The Green River High School golf team will wrap up their season Friday and Saturday at the 4A State Championships in Laramie.
Head coach Nathan Loe said that he is proud of his kids over the course of the 2014 season and they have consistently dropped their scores from from Thursday to the Friday round of competition.
Loe said that the team will play a practice round in Laramie Thursday and he expects them to finish somewhere in the middle of the pack.
“They are really excited to play,” Loe said. “It should be a lot of fun.”
Representing the Green River boy’s team will be Brock Ortega at the number-one position, Kyle Goglio at number two, JD Richardson at number three, Patrick Harvey at number four and Kamden Carroll at the number five spot.
On the girl’s side, Kelsee Barton is at the number-one position, Sidney Mandros is at number two, and Lauren Hoy is at the number three spot.

The team wrapped up the regular season at last week Evanston Invitational.
Ortega led the way for Green River with a two-day total of 171. His low score was 81 on Thursday. Goglio finished with a 180, Richardson had a 204, Harvey had a 232, Trevor Ginestar finished with a 201, Carroll had a 223, Rock Cordova had a 237 and William Valdez ended the tournament with a total of 241.
Barton and Mandros both had a total of 208. Hoyt finished with a two-day total of 241.
