Several swimmers standout at Riverton tournament

Last weekend proved as a chance for the Green River High school swim team to find out where they stand among some of the larger schools in the state.

Competing at the Riverton Invitational, Green River finished fifth out of eight Class 4 teams. The Lady Wolves also competed the day prior at the Riverton Pre-Invitational where they finished fourth out of six teams.

On the first day of action some of the highlights for Green River included a first place finish from Dakota Neumann in the 100 backstroke, a fifth place finish from Elizabeth Barker in the 200-yard freestyle, a second place finish in the 50-yard freestyle and third place finish in the 500-yard freestyle from freshman Avery Otto-Horn. Neumann also finished third in the 100-yard freestyle. Briana Rath finished sixth in diving.

On Saturday, Green River some some strong swims from sophomore Shyana Hunt. She finished third in the 50-yard freestyle and second in the 100-yard backstroke.

Otto-Horn had another strong day for Green River with a second place finish in the 200 IM and finished third the 100-yard freestyle.
