Robert Lee Puckett, 62, of Green River passed away on Aug. 15, in Salt Lake City.
He was born on July 21, 1952 in Norwood, Colo., the son of Gerald Dale and Emagene Marion Puckett.
Puckett graduated from Hanna-Elk Mountain High School in 1970.
He married Gloria Jean Bustos in Hanna on Oct. 26, 1972 and she preceded him in death on Oct. 20, 2006.
Puckett was a United States Army veteran having served from 1972 until 1975.
He was employed at Black Butte Coal Company for 23 years and retired on July 2, 2014 as a dragline operator.
His interests included hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his mother Emagene Puckett of Grand Junction, Colo.; two sons, Joseph Puckett and Robert Puckett and companion Shauntelle Mandros, all of Green River; one daughter, Angela Maez and husband Jason of Green River; one brother, Jimmie Puckett of Grand Junction, Colo.; one sister, Janet Puckett of Grand Junction, Colo.; seven grandchildren Breanna, Shyanna, Shaelyn, Seyarra, Austyn, Wyatt and David; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Puckett; his father Gerald Puckett; his maternal grandmother Lucille Crandell; paternal grandmother Goldie McNeely and paternal grandfather William Puckett.
Funeral services took place Aug. 23 at the First Assembly of God in Green River. Interment with military honors was at Riverview Cemetery in Green River.
