The Rev. Robert Charles Ingle, 86, of Perryton, Texas, formally of Green River, died Aug. 14.
Ingle was born Jan. 25, 1928, in Winton to Charles James and Isabelle Beverage Ingle.
In 1964, he was licensed as a minister in the Assemblies of God Fellowship, and in 1966 he received ordination.
Ingle pastored the Assemblies of God church in Green River from 1964-1969, the Lighthouse in Rock Springs from 1979-1981 and the Operation Blessing Food Bank and Thrift Store for 10 years.
Ingle worked as a carman on the Union Pacific Railroad in Green River; Ogden, Utah and North Platte, Neb. for 26 years.
At the end of World War ll, He was a medic in the U.S Army and took care of the military wounded, escorting them to hospitals closer to their homes. He earned his E-5 in just 18 months.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannine; two sons, Gary of Perryton, Texas and Bill of North Platte, Neb.; two daughters, Robin Novikoff of Albuquerque, N.M. and Cathryn Harlow of Tucson, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, with two on the way. He is also survived by two brother-in-laws, Larry Byrd and wife Penni and Ron Byrd of Green River.
