Raymond Keith Ferris

Raymond Keith Ferris, 58, of Rock Springs, passed away on Aug. 19, 2014 at his home.

 A longtime resident of Rock Springs, Ferris passed away following a brief illness.

He was born in Elk County, Penn. on March 26, 1956, the son of the late Robert Earl Ferris and Anna Marie Illeferun.

Ferris attended schools in St. Marys, Penn. and graduated from St. Marys High School.

He worked as a field supervisor for R & M Welding until his retirement in June 2012.

Interests include fishing, hunting, playing pool and spending time with his friends and his dog, Gracey.

Survivors include one son, Michael Ferris of Rock Springs; one daughter, Roxann Ferris of St. Marys, Penn.; one brother, Joe Ferris of Penn.; two sisters, Pam Mayer and Lillian Witherow, both of Pennsyslvania and longtime companion Gloria Kriest of Rock Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
